Whether you’re a new student, member of staff, or visitor we have accommodation options for you. Our residences all have unique characters, and we take pride in our safe, vibrant, and diverse communities across our three villages. You’ll find a place to call home within a supportive community, with everything you need to study, socialise, and relax.
Our campus is in the heart of the city, and all our residences are either on campus or on the city’s doorstep, only a short walk away or easily accessible by public transport. This means that when living with us, you're never too far from lectures, or the many things Newcastle has to offer, from history and heritage, to shops, 酒吧, and restaurants.

The cost of accommodation at Newcastle University varies depending on several factors. Things that could impact your accommodation cost include the type of room you choose and whether you want to be catered or self-catered. Applying for accommodation at Newcastle University is a straightforward process. After looking at our accommodation options, head to our How to Apply page to start the process.
As an overview, you must register on the application portal to begin your application. From there, you’ll be asked to select your preferred accommodation choices and backup options. Once you have completed your application, you can submit it.
Moving day is always exciting and busy, as thousands of new students join us. For a quick and easy arrival process, we ask that you book an arrival slot, which will be towards the end of August. This will be a set day and time to arrive at your residence and move all your belongings in.
You will be invited to sign up for an arrival slot via email. Please note that slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and we can only accommodate a certain number of arrivals during each time period. Find out more on our Moving In page.
